Privacy Policy

Dicty is built voice-first and privacy-first. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the controls you have. Plain language, no dark patterns.

Data we process

Account data: your email, name, and billing details when you subscribe to a paid plan.

Capture data: audio you record is transcribed on-device by default. Cloud transcription is opt-in and, when enabled, audio is processed transiently and never used to train models.

Usage data: aggregate, de-identified metrics about feature usage to improve the product.

How we use it

To provide the service: transcription, structuring, reconciliation, and sync to your chosen destinations.

To operate your account: billing, support, and security notifications.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use your captures to train third-party models.

Storage and sync

Your generated documents are stored in the destination you choose — Obsidian, Notion, Confluence, or a GitHub wiki. Dicty holds only what is needed to perform the sync.

You can export or delete your Dicty-side data at any time from account settings.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Contact privacy@dicty.io and we will respond within 30 days.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA, which we honor globally.
